Phat, the Shoemaker
Is a 2nd generation shoemaker who came to Canada in 1979.
He was born into the trade and at the age of 15 was trained in the shoe business.
Phat perfected his skill in Toronto by making shoes for large shoe manfacturers
and private clients. He has also repaired high-end shoes for large and independently owned shoe stores since the 1980's.

I bought a pair of heelless wedgie shoes. the right heel of my foot wants to slip to the innerside of the shoe close to the edge of the shoe. I’m afraid that my foot will slip off. Is there any type of pad i could buy to stop this.
Based on your description, it sounds like the shoe is too big. You can purchase a gel pad to place in the ball of the feet to push your entire feet up so that the heel rests behind the strap more closely. However, depending on your shoe, this solution may also tighten the front of your feet and make your toes feel cramp. Another solution is to bring your shoes in and have us modify or shorten the strap so that it fits more closely to your heel and won’t slip off when you walk.
The cost of the gel pad is approximately $5.99-$9.99 a pair – This could be a temporary fix and may tighten the front of your shoe
The cost of the strap shortening the straps is $15.00 a pair – This is a permanent fix and won’t change the feel of the rest of the shoe.
